Do All In The Name Of Jesus

 

The method that God has chosen to use to bring about His will on earth is through people.  In John 1:6 it says, “There was a man sent from God whose name was John.”  You could now substitute your name in that verse because you are now “sent.”  In Isaiah 9:6 it says, “Unto us a child is born, unto us a son in given.”  Jesus became the Son of Man in order to fulfill God’s will on earth.

 

The channels through which God works must be clear channels.  We must be repentant, humble, teachable people with pure hearts toward God and others.  We must reckon ourselves to be dead to sin and alive to God in Christ Jesus, so that we can be filled with His character which is, “love, joy, peace, patience, goodness, kindness, meekness, faithfulness, and self-control,” (Gal. 5:22-23).

 

In other words, everything we say and do must be in the Name of Jesus.(Col. 3:17).  To be in the Name of Jesus is to be in the character of Jesus.  We must be clear channels for Jesus to flow out through no matter where we go or do.

 

Jesus lives in us and He must be seen.  Live and move and have your being in Him.
